MILEY Cyrus is in trouble for that big ol’ butt.

A Mexican state legislature is calling for the singer to be fined after “desecrating” the Mexican flag during a performance in Monterrey in the northern state of Nuevo León.

Midway through her performance on Tuesday, one of Miley’s male dancers spanked her prosthetic backside using the Mexican flag while she twerked for the crowd.

And on Mexican Independence Day and everything.

The stunt with the comically large booty didn’t go down well and Cyrus and her team could now be detained for 36 hours or be fined for around $ 1,200, local lawmaker Francisco Trevino said.

“They are hitting her with the flag, or cleaning her backside. It’s a lack of respect,” said Trevino. “The interior ministry must sanction the singer Miley Cyrus for desecrating the flag.”

If charged, the 21-year-old wouldn’t be the first performer to face the music for a stunt like this.

In 2008, singer Paulina Rubio was fined for posing naked, wrapped in the Mexican flag.

This isn’t the first time the Bangerz singer has come under fire for misusing a flag during a performance. Playing in Barcelona back in June, the capital of independence-seeking Catalonia, she flew the flag of a different would-be independent nation — the Basque Country. Whoops.
